Naruto Chapter 637:Summary

Obito came back from the other dimension. Madara reminds him that he eventually had to repay the legendary Uchiha for saving his life. Madara forced him to use the Rinne Tensei on him so that he could be revived and become the ten tails jinchuriki. With Obito's cry resounding around the battlefield,everyone is shocked by seeing Madara's cruelty. Noting Madara's intentions, Hashirama tells both Naruto and Sasuke to deal with Obito since they were the closest. As a contingency plan, Hashirama and Tobirama create wood clones and shadow clones respectively to take on Madara in case it was too late to stop Obito.Meanwhile, Obito — whose hair was beginning to become thinner and greyer due to the Outer Path: Samsara of Heavenly Life Technique — begins to reminisce his life as part of Team Minato.

Sasuke, riding on Aoda, begins to slither on the Ten-Tails to get close to Obito and launches a black arrow only to be retaliated by the chakra rods jutting out of the latter. Minato thinks that Obito is the the person who attacked the village 16 years ago and is reason behind this war. As each and everyone begins to stop both Madara and Obito, Minato — having formed a clone — teleports to Obito.Reminiscing the advice of his sensei, and severs his left arm. Much to the surprise of Minato, he begins to question if Obito had been the one who orchestrated the destruction of Konohagakure which was simply responded by the thud of Obito's fall.Having thought that the Uchiha had fallen, Obito simply smirked at their plan as it is revealed he had prevented Madara's control much to the surprise of Naruto, Sasuke and Minato who regrouped after witnessing the escape of the Ten-Tails and the transformation of Obito as he became the Ten-Tails' jinchuriki.

Fairy Tail 337 "The Golden Plains" Summary:

With the Eclipse Gate now in tatters, Lucy and Happy continue to rejoice, praising Natsu for his victory over Future Rogue. Natsu, meanwhile, exhausted, removes himself from Future Rogue's person and stares at Future Rogue's smoldering, unconscious body. Arcadios, seeing this, expresses his complete surprise that the Gates were destroyed in spite of their resilient build, prompting Hisui to wonder what is to come. Yukino then chimes in, saying that as the Gates were destroyed, they are no longer useable in the future, which leads to Pantherlily and Carla concluding that with no Rogue to come to the present, then time will rewind; Natsu looks on in shock as Future Rogue's body begins to light up.


Motherglare and Atlas Flame's body also begin to glow and, still hovering in the sky, the burning Dragon remarks that he must now return to his own time; Zirconis concurrently experiences the same issue, causing Wendy and Laxus to marvel at the happening. Angry that he lost to humans, Zirconis makes one final grab at Laxus, crushing the ground mere inches from where he stands. Just then, much to Arcadios' protest, Hisui walks toward Zirconis and apologizes to him, explaining that she was the one responsible for building the Eclipse Gate, and is therefore at fault for making him, someone who is from another time, come into contact with them. Intrigued, Zirconis asks who Hisui is; the Princess tells the Dragon her name, and explains that her name means the exact same thing as the Dragon's own body color: Jade. Smiling at each other, Zirconis, aloud, ponders their exact meaning, to which Hisui reaffirms that they indeed mean the same thing. Zirconis then says "Jade Dragon" to himself, stating that the title has a nice ring to it. However, Zirconis becomes frazzled, as he realizes that by wasting his time with inquiries, he's going to disappear; he soon fades away, sent back to the past at last.

With the other Dragons disappearing, Future Rogue awakes, astonished that his plan has fallen to pieces; Atlas Flame, now almost completely gone, silently states that he will never forget Natsu. Noting his disappearance, Natsu closes his eyes and thanks Atlas for his help. Sighing a breath of relief, Lucy happily notes that all the Dragons are gone.

Throughout Crocus, the Hatchlings disappear, and the Mages rejoice, however, those such as Gajeel and Cobra note that even though the Dragons have disappeared, their "victory" leaves a bitter taste in their mouths; watching the chaos disappear, Mavis sadly states that not a single Dragon Slayer was able to defeat a Dragon. Meanwhile, now sitting down, Sting and Rogue remark that their performance was pathetic and that they have doubts as to whether they should truly call themselves "Dragon Slayers". Sting, however, sadly remarks that they're exceedingly powerful, and that none of them are so much as near Acnologia's level. Rogue, on the other hand, expresses a much more optimistic view on the battle, stating that they shouldn't sulk, as they technically came out victorious and successfully protected their comrades. The Twin Dragon Slayers then smile at each other.

Back at Mercurius, Future Rogue's own body begins to light up, and he stares at his translucent right arm in total disbelief; Natsu states that the present Rogue won't grow up to become like him. Hearing this, Future Rogue curiously mutters the word "shadows", explaining that the shadows are constantly trying to consume him and that they've come for him time and time again. Future Rogue then states that the darkness inside him is permanent, noting that the day that he failed to protect Frosch was the day he fell into depravity and let the shadows consume him. Natsu then states that Frosch won't die, but Future Rogue interrupts him, stating that in one year, Frosch will indeed die, and that he must order his present self to protect Frosch at all costs. With one last angry glare, Future Rogue informs Natsu that unless he does so, then Frosch will be killed regardless, leaving the Fire Dragon Slayer in a state of disrest.



Concurrently, underneath Mercurius, Future Lucy's body is also aglow, however, despite her body returning to her own time, her soul ascends to heaven. When she awakens in the middle of the bright, grassy field, she questions where she is and begins to walk around, confused. However, she is soon stopped when someone calls out her name. Future Lucy then turns around to see the deceased Natsu and Happy of her time greeting her, bringing her to tears. Natsu and Happy then state that everyone's been waiting for her; Natsu grabs Future Lucy's hand and begins to run forward towards the rest of her deceased guildmates, stating that they still need to finish their adventure. Sobbing, Future Lucy agrees.

In the present, Future Lucy's journal disappears from her present self's hand, where she then puts her hand to her face, noticing that she's crying. Looking at Natsu's back, Lucy silently hugs him from behind. Natsu then asks Lucy if something is wrong, to which she denies, instead opting to thank Natsu for everything he's done.

Background

Itachi Uchiha is a missing-nin from Konohagakure, and a prominent member of Akatsuki, partnered with Kisame Hoshigaki. He is Sasuke Uchiha's older brother. 

Itachi is relatively popular among many fans of Naruto, often having ranked in the top ten in Shonen Jump magazine's popularity polls since his introduction. He was first ranked in the third character popularity poll ranked in 11th place. He was ranked 9th place during the fourth popularity poll, and 6th place in the fifth popularity poll. During the sixth popularity poll, he again was ranked in 11th place. In the last poll, he was ranked in 5th place.

Itachi was born into the Uchiha clan and was praised by all as the best of his generation - a genius above all others. Even by the standards of the battle-adept Uchiha clan, Itachi's prowess far outshined all others. However, not even his family, friends, or teachers could understand him. When he was only 4, Itachi had already witnessed countless lives lost due to the Third Great Shinobi World War, which emotionally traumatized him and turned him into a pacifist. At age 7, he graduated from the Ninja Academy at the top of his class after only one year, mastered the Sharingan at age 8, passed the Chunin Exams at age 10, and became ANBU Captain at age 13. According to Madara Uchiha, Itachi also had a lover, whom he killed during the Uchiha clan massacre.

He was praised highly by his father, who saw the family's future in Itachi, hence neglecting his other son - Itachi's younger brother, Sasuke. However, during this time Itachi showed great affection towards his little brother, Sasuke, and even encouraged his father to come to the Academy when Sasuke was enrolled, something their dad had otherwise forgotten, by saying that he would not go to an important mission, that would establish Itachi a place in the ANBU ranks, otherwise.

When the Uchiha began planning to overthrow Konoha, Itachi, as an ANBU, was tasked with spying on the village. Knowing that a coup d'etat would only lead to another Ninja War, Itachi chose to spy on the Uchiha instead, passing on information to the Third Hokage and the other Konoha elders. After this he began to act strangely, not attending the clan meetings, speaking out against the clan, and becoming the prime suspect for the murder of his best friend, Shisui Uchiha. The clan lost hope in Itachi, and his father began shifting his focus to Sasuke instead. Meanwhile, the Third's attempts to negotiate a bloodless end to hostilities between the two parties were proving ineffective, so, against the Third's wishes, Danzo and the Konoha Council ordered Itachi to wipe out the Uchiha.

Before the fateful night arrived, Itachi discovered the existence of Madara Uchiha, who was attempting to rekindle the flames of war in Konoha. In return for not attacking Konoha, Itachi offered to help Madara claim vengeance against the Uchiha for turning their backs on him decades earlier. Madara agreed. Itachi slaughtered his entire clan overnight, sparing only Sasuke. Sasuke's life was worth more than the village to Itachi, and he could not follow through with the orders to kill him as well. Instead, he made himself out as a villain, who had killed their innocent family only to test his abilities. By doing so, he wanted Sasuke to take vengeance on him and become a hero to Konoha, thus redeeming the Uchiha name. He tortured Sasuke with his Mangekyo Sharingan, and encouraged him to become strong enough to kill him and avenge their family. Hoping that his beloved little brother would someday be powerful enough to kill him, Itachi left the village as a traitor.

Knowing that Konoha would still want to eliminate Sasuke, Itachi pleaded with the Third Hokage to keep Sasuke safe. He also threatened Danzo to not harm Sasuke or risk him revealing everything he knew about Konoha's secrets to enemy countries. Sasuke's safety was therefore secured, and Itachi returned to his original plan of becoming infamous for his slaughter of the Uchiha.

Itachi joined Akatsuki in order to keep an eye on the organization, along with Madara Uchiha, in case either ever acted against Konoha, all the while planning for his death at Sasuke's hands. While a member of Akatsuki, Itachi was approached by Orochimaru, who tried to steal his body to gain the Sharingan. Itachi trapped him in a genjutsu and severed his left hand as punishment, forcing Orochimaru to flee the organization. Sometime after joining Akatsuki, Itachi later helped recruit Deidara, Orochimaru's replacement, by beating him in battle, after which Deidara swore vengeance again.

Personality

Ever since his first appearance, Itachi had always been mysterious, and had acted as though he was hiding his true self. While flashbacks to his past showed that he was a compassionate brother and person, his later acts and claims made it seem that this was mostly just an act. But, surprisingly, he genuinely was the compassionate brother he had once claimed to be, although he hid this from the rest of the Akatsuki to protect Sasuke.

As a member of Akatsuki, he possessed incredible self-control of his emotions. He constantly displayed an emotionless personality. He only showed surprise when opponents proved more powerful or skilled than he had expected, and even then he didn't lose his composure. He did not possess any arrogance, and fully justified any statements he made about his power, even complimenting his opponents at times on their abilities.

In addition to being an extremely powerful ninja, Itachi had equally impressive intelligence, and was shown to be very wise. He was exceedingly sharp and observant to any situation at hand, as he was rarely surprised or caught off guard. He also displayed great intuition, as he was almost never deceived and even then almost instantly realized the truth. Despite his status as a wanted criminal, and having murdered a significant portion of his family, Itachi took no enjoyment in violence or combat, instead preferring to avoid battle or, if this was not possible, end it as quickly as he could.

Itachi's only initial interest was in Akatsuki's goals, and his only loyalties appeared to be to the organization and its members, seeming to put the organization's success and secrecy before everything else.As such, Itachi got along with his partner, Kisame, much better than most other Akatsuki members did with their own partners. Kisame appeared to have a deep loyalty to Itachi, immediately doing as he instructed and constantly looking out for his well-being. Itachi treated all of his fellow Akatsuki members to this same, more respectful personality, although his courtesy was rarely returned by the other members.

However, when he was in a genjutsu duel during his fight with Sasuke, he cruelly claimed he had only let Sasuke live so that he could take Sasuke's eyes and obtain his own Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, after which he then claimed the Uchiha clan had been nothing but tainted and evil, since many members would kill their friends to gain the Mangekyo Sharingan, and would take another Uchiha's eyes to make its power permanent. Once the genjutsu was released, he called it his true self, implying his calm, emotionless personality was also a facade. This persona was later revealed to be only an act to ensure that he would die by Sasuke's hands, his love for his younger brother being the fundamental aspect of his personality. 

Despite his status as an infamous shinobi, his appearance was not the most intimidating, apart from the intensity of his eyes. While living in Konoha, he would regularly have a gentle and caring look in his eyes, especially directed towards his younger brother. After joining Akatsuki, he would regularly have a stern look to them. He was a fairly tall shinobi, whose basic appearance was very much like the rest of his clan.

He, like all members of his clan, possessed dark grey eyes, and also had black hair that hung near his cheeks to frame his face. He also had the addition of a long ponytail in the back of his hair (which he obscured with his Akatsuki cloak after joining the organization). Being brothers, Itachi and Sasuke had a similar appearance, but with subtle differences. Itachi's hair color appeared slightly duller and with a softer flow to it, without the spiky style at the back. His skin was also slightly darker. Itachi's most distinguishing characteristics were the long pronounced creases under his eyes.

When he lived in Konoha, his casual clothes would consist of a black shirt with a large Uchiha clan symbol on the back of it, and black pants with a weapons pouch strapped to them. When on duty, he would wear the traditional ANBU uniform, although he was never shown wearing a mask. As a member of Akatsuki, he wore the traditional Akatsuki cloak, and usually kept the center of it buttoned down. After his cloak was incinerated by Sasuke's Kirin during their fight in Part II, it was revealed that he still wore his casual clothes underneath it. Like almost all members of Akatsuki, he wore the headband of his home village, Konoha, with a line gouged through it, to symbolize his broken ties with the village (although, secretly, he was actually still loyal to his village). 

Abilities

Since a young age, Itachi's intellect and talent showed their brilliance in everything he did, as even his teachers said his progress hardly required any help. In the few battles he had been seen in since the start of the series, Itachi was shown to be an incredibly powerful ninja, and easily one of the strongest in the Naruto series, as demonstrated by his ability to easily defeat Deidara, Sasuke, Kakashi Hatake, Kurenai Yuhi and Orochimaru (twice), who themselves are considered amongst the strongest ninjas in Naruto. Being a pacifist, Itachi did not actively take part in battle, typically only acting in self-defense.

Sharingan

Being of the Uchiha Clan, and as noted by Kakashi, Itachi was a true successor of the Sharingan Eye. From a stationary position, he would study an opponent's movements with his Sharingan and respond accordingly, often with a genjutsu. He could cast a genjutsu by merely pointing at or looking at someone, and could similarly turn an opponent's genjutsu against them with Demonic Illusion: Mirror Heaven and Earth Change. Itachi had trained so much with his eyes that he had reached the stage where he could have his Sharingan activated the entire time, with minimal drain on his chakra levels. 

Mangekyo Sharingan

Itachi possessed the Mangekyo Sharingan, which increased his already great power, and enabled him to use his most powerful techniques. With his left eye, he could use Tsukuyomi, a genjutsu that traps an opponent's mind in an illusionary world, torturing them for what seems like days in a matter of seconds.With his right eye he could use Amaterasu, a ninjutsu which allowed him to create a black flame that he could direct by moving his eye to burn through seemingly anything in its path, including fire itself. His final technique was Susanoo, a technique that manifested itself as a spectral being, labelled as the "Raging God of Battle" in the databook. It wielded the Totsuka Sword, an ethereal sword with the ability to seal anything it pierces into the gourd that serves as its hilt, and Yata's Mirror, a shield that can reflect any attack. Zetsu, a fellow Akatsuki member, stated that Itachi's mastery of the Sharingan, combined with the legendary weapons of Susanoo, made him invincible.

Despite his mastery of the Mangekyo Sharingan, Itachi suffered greatly from its side effects. His eyesight would worsen after every activation of the Mangekyo Sharingan, and he would eventually go blind from its power, with his Sharingan forever sealed away. Itachi was so close to blindness that, by the time he activated Susanoo in his final fight, both Sharingan eyes had become almost blind, and had turned white. However, he was still able to perform his own Fūinjutsu in his last moments.

Obito: Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!  Damn you madara. What are u doing? Stop it ......!!!!

Naruto: in his mind ( he looks different) where is kakashi sensei?

(Kakashi comes out from kamui world.)

Sakura: Sensei! (She runs over to Kakashi and starts healing him.)

Kakashi sees Minato and Sasuke) Sensei and... Sasuke?

Kakashi: What is going on?How are they here?

Sakura: Don't worry,They are on our side.

Kakashi: Inside his mind (notices the crack on minato's face ,I see they were broughT back by Edo Tensei but by who?) 

Kakashi : To think that i would see you again Sensei.

Minato: Kakashi , i am glad to see you again but let's save the explanation for later. 

Kakasi: you too Sasuke ?

Sasuke: Hmpp.

Obito: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! Minato Sensei? Blood is dripping from his eyes.

Minato: Obito!!! Whats going on . Was he also brought back by the Edo Tensei.

Hashirama: Who is that man?

Minato: He's my student (confused and shocked) but he was dead , a long time ago.

Kakashi: Sensei , Obito was not brought back by Edo. he lived and he was the one that attacked the village 16 years ago. Its our .

Minato eyes widen . His heart beat was beating fast. His face was pale.

Kakashi: he was the one who started this war and annihilated the uchiha clan.

Minato: (speechless)..........

Naruto: Dad, he's no longer the person you once knew. Obito is on Madara's side!

Minato closed his eyes and flashbacks the incident . (obito was the one who drove his family to death.)

Hashirama: If he's on Madara's side then...(looks at Madara) Madara what are you doing to him?

Hashirama: Stop at once MADARA !!! You heartless animal.!!!

Madara: Hashirama !!! only weak people will feel sympathy for others . He is my pawn , he is nothing more than a trash! Hashirama i will live again . 

Minato: !!!!!!!! ( with a furious face)


Madara enjoys obitos suffering.


Naruto feels sympathy to obito , and thinks ( obito was this the peace you wanted)

fodder shinobi : now is our chance , CHARGE !!!

Madara: mpf....weaklings

Madara : shinra tensei !!

blasts all the fodder ninja away.

Sasuke with a evil look : Naruto, lets finish that tobi

naruto thinks about obito and what he has done for his family and the ninja world but at the same time he feels bad for him.

Sasuke shouts : NARUTO !!

Naruto opens his eyes

Naruto: Sasuke dont !!! i felt something inside him . i dont know what it was but one side of me is telling me to help him.

every one's face froze 

Sakura: naruto! what are you saying . did you hit your head or something. he is our enemy.

Kakashi is suprised that naruto feels the same way as him and see's minato

Naruto and Sakura: Sasuke!

Sasuke: Blaze release: Kagutschi susanoo!

(Sasuke fires amaterasu arrows at obito .)

two amaterasu arrows are coming fast towards obito.

Madara: shinra tensei 

the arrows vanish

Sasuke: madara! i will take you out first

Madara: you think you are able to defeat me uchiha brat.

Juubi: Roaaaaaaaaaar!!!!!!!!!!

the sky turns deep black , mist are all over the places . lightnings dashed all over the places .the juubi is glowing with red aura .

out of no where two dark lights (red and blue) are comign towards the juubi . the are almost the shape of a meteor.

everyone are looking at the lights and the battlefield was in deep silence

Madara thinks inside his mind ( so thats the juubi's ) 

scene changes to kurama

Kurama: i have seen this before . but i cant remember it well.

Kurama with a serious voice: kid this is the end . the juubi is entering the final form. all hope is lost .

Naruto: no we still can do something. there's gotto b..

Kurama: naruto !! there is nothing we can do now . cover up , or you will be taken out by the blast. but before that i want to give you something.

(The shinobi start getting nervous.) the light is getting near the juubi

madara lands near obito and takes him

Obito : you bastard , you will regret this aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh!!!

Madara:shut up , perfect susanoo

Hashirama shouts: everyone take cover

naruto goes into bijuu trans and covers the shinobi allience

the lights hit juubi and the scene is full of light just like the pain's devastation

Madara: let the devastation begin.

the shock wave hits the shinobi alliences and most of them were hit by the blast and are sent flying.

scene zooms in juubi's eye 

juubi eyes open and the rinnegun with 10 sharingun tomeo's are shows

juubi: rage !!! , pain !!! agony!!! my hatered burn's to the cavenas deeps. the world will heave with my torment but last the world will fall beneath my shadows.
aaaaaaaaarghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Naruto 637: Obito's Defiance

[Obito is shown holding the seal and yelling in pain as the black matter spreads throughout the right side of his body. Madara can feel his power overcoming him. Violet flames ignite in front of Obito, signaling the summoning of the King of Hell. Everyone stares at it and the shinobi from Konohagakure seem to remember it.]

Obito: "MADAAAARAAAAA!!!!! You treacherous bastard!!! You planned this from the beginning!?"

Madara: "Sometimes sacrifices must be made in order for things to work out accordingly. You should know that Obito..."

Hashirama: 'Madara, you monster! You used him like this!?'

[Obito drops to his knees and coughs out blood, shifting his gaze to the Juubi. The Hokage look on and continue to hold the barrier up but Minato is puzzled. He cannot believe that his former student was the man in the mask all along]

Minato: "Obito!? But why!? Why would you do this!?"

Hiruzen: "Obito Uchiha? That boy was thought to have to died!"

Tobirama: "The Uchiha working along to bring chaos to the shinobi world! Typical!"

Hashirama: "Silence brother!"

Madara: "Enough of this chitter-chatter! The time has come!"

[Madara channels his chakra through the rods and forces Obito to switch into the final seal. The Juubi then suddenly roars, calling it's spawns to it's body. Where a foul and dark chakra envelops it.]

Hashirama: "No! It's entering it's final form! Stop it all cost!"

[The Hashirama clones hold seals and the gates holding down the Juubi grow larger. Tobirama strikes a look at a group of watching shinobi.]

Tobirama: "Do not stand there! Take this Obito out before he completes the jutsu!"

Obito: "AAAAAAGRRRRRRRRRH!!!!!"

[The shinobi take in the command and rush towards Obito with weapons drawn. Madara, however, intercepts the path and cuts them down with Susano'o, protecting Obito.]

Madara: "No one will touch him...."

Onoki: "Wrong Madara!"

[Onoki, the four other Kage, Orochimaru, Karin, and Suigetsu stand atop a massive sand platform. Onoki is charing up a Jinton attack and fires it at Obito. Madara acts quickly and shoves Obito back, jumping away as well where he is met by a wave of sand. Madara's Susano'o slashes the wave and collapses it.]

Orochimaru: "So Obito was the one behind this? And the Juubi is going final form? Interesting timing."

Suigetsu: "Interesting?? We're screwed!! We have to get out of here!"

Karin: "For the first time I actually agree with you!"

[Obito struggles and is almost forming the last seal. He then has a memory of Rin again. What this world is. What everyone has done to make this world a hell. The fact that Madara would do this to him just to get what he wants. The black matter begins to shrink slowly as Obito's will begins to overpower Madara's.]

Madara: "Hmmm? So you are fighting back?"

Obito: "This world....I'm tired of it!!! I will not die here now!!!!!!"

[A massive explosion occurs within the barrier, shattering it from the force. The summonings are sent flying back with team 7. Sai holds onto Sakura to cushion her landing. Naruto is sent rolling along the ground. Sasuke lamds on his feet, the Susano'o activated in it's latest stage to protect him from the blast.]

Sasuke: "......"

[From the smoke emerges the most sinister being to exist. The massive ten tails lashing about and creating tornadoes. It gazes at the alliamce and grins, showing the set of sharpened teeth.]

Juubi: "Humans.....How sickening.."

Kurama: "Damnit! It reached the last stage!"

Madara: "Obito!!"

[Obito chuckles and forms a seal. With the last bit of energy he has he uses Kamui to transport himself closer to the beast. With his left hand he rips the top piece of his garment off, revealing Kanji markings on his stomach. It's a seal! Madara's eyes widen]

Obito: "Hahaha!!!! I won't let you stop me from bringing Rin back!!!!!"

[The seal rotates and opens into a dark hole, beginning to suck the Juubi into Obito. The Juubi in a natter of seconds is transported and sealed into him, resulting in the closing of the seal.]

Obito: "AAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGH!!!!!!"

[Obito's covered in the dark chakra and releases a shockwave of power! His wound begins to close. He is the Jinchuuriki!!]

Minato: "Obito..."

Obito: "Prepare yourselves...."
